Talasea - Tolkein Style
Completed: August 1st, 2007
Media: 2B pencils, Micron pens, printer paper, Coca-Cola, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Intuos 3 Tablet
Time Taken: ~4 hours
Purporse: Personal Project
Comments: The maps that J. R. R. Tolkein made for Middle-Earth have always inspired me, especially in his attention to detail. I attempted to mimic his style here. The landform was traced from my laptop's monitor onto paper, then inked. That was scanned into Photoshop and coloured, as well as a textured and coke-stained paper that was used as an overlay. I used this for the first layout of the Frontier Edge database.
