Cross-Hatched Tomb
Completed: October 2006
Media: Micron pens, Prismacolor markers, black Sharpie
Time Taken: ~3 hours
Purporse: School
Comments: For our pen & ink studies, one of the last assignments was to simply reference a photo and recreate it with pen. My photo came from an issue of National Geographic, of an excavation of a tomb. I think I got the tones down fairly well except for the sky. It was a mistake to try and stipple it due to that it took so long. It ended up being lighter than it was supposed to be.
I foudn ti a bit surprising that I was given full marks for neatness, as I generally think of my pen style as messy.
